Description:

The CSI Academy is designed to prepare civilians who have an interest in the field of Crime Scene Investigation and who are seeking to become Crime Scene Investigators. In addition, the CSI Academy offers continuing education courses for law enforcement officers which are designed to assist the officers in mastering the many challenges in the world of crime scene investigation.

Program Type:

Currently the courses are only offered face to face. However, we are in the process of developing hybrid offerings which will allow students to take the classroom portions of the course online, complete course assignments online, and then travel to CSI Academy for two days of practical exercises to complete the courses taken. In addition, our programs are offered onsite at the request of an agency.

Certificate Type:

The program offers a certificate of completion for each of the courses and each course is certified by the International Association for Identification which is the standard for Crime Scene.

Schedule:

The completion times are different for each course but they range from one (1) day or eight (8) hours to five days or forty (40) hours.

Our students range in age from 18 - 80.

Approximately 200 students per year.
